This is a cool little light. It's brighter than a lot of small lights, but doesn't get hot. If being used for a reading light you'll go through a lot of batteries, though. Nice for a flashlight since it folds up, but can also be used free-standing by flipping the base out. The emergency red flashing light quit working fairly early on.

This product gave me as much light (at 1/3 the price), as some other similar work lamps. And on one of those more expensive lamps, an LED burned out on the first day. So, if you don't need a lot of flexibility (i.e. a long flexible neck, or a clamp-on capability); or if you don't need EXCEPTIONALLY bright (i.e. concentrated) light (such as those provided by some items that have very concentrated light like a minature LED flashlight); and you are OK with 'diffuse' moderate light at a LOW cost, get this item.
