The system is great, but unlike the ipod transmitter, this one cannot be charged. It must be plugged in, which is actually kind of a pain. Still a great system overall, just wish all the transmitters were equally mobile.

Easy to setup. I hooked a blue tooth dongle to it for easier streaming from my phone. Unfortunately necessary if you don't have apple product as the base kit only comes with Apple adapter.

Overall this system works pretty well. My goal was to find something I could use throughout my house for background/ambient music while entertaining and this system fit the bill. The sound quality of the speakers isn't fantastic and varies wildly depending on which light I have them in and which way they are pointed, but I didn't expect studio quality sound. Also, it seems like it's pretty easy to pick up heavy interference and static if, for example, I run my microwave oven while transmitting. But since I'm not using this for a daily stereo system it's not too big of a deal for me. Also, it seems like I have to re-sync the speakers to the transmitters almost every time I freshly power up, but the process is easy. I love how I can set different speakers to different zones to be able to independently control the settings.

Use it for some older stuff to power the lights/sound and it works perfect. Can hook to older tv or mp3 player with mini jack.

Our entertainment "hub" of equipment is in the living room. We bought the light for our master bathroom and kept this transmitter in the living room with our laptop and stero. It's amazing! We can listen to CNN from the tv while we are in the shower, change it to pandora from the laptop or our phones, flip the tv to the Sirius channel and stream the same music throughout the house. We have three music lights now and an extra transmitter came with the set of two music lights. We can stream music and news from the tv throughout the whole house. I absolutely love it and prefer this over the iPhone transmitter.
