hard to beat the convenience of finding and buying the right halogen bulb at your fingertips on amazon but this bulb burned out after a few hours (!) of use. the other halogen bulb i bought at the same time was from bulbrite and that one did better but also burned out after just a few months of light use. should have bought a six pack, or found a better manufacturer. apparently it does not pay to buy the cheapest product out there.

Bought this in June 2010 and it lasted until August 2011 with about 1 to 2 hours of use per day. Estimating, I'd say it had a life of about 500-700 hours during that time, far short of the 2,000 hour life listed on the product page. Still, it was fairly inexpensive.

This lightbulb is awesome. My desk light uses three of these and one of my old light bulbs burned out. I first purchased this lightbulb at a hardware store, but returned it after finding this on here for $5 cheaper. After installing this bulb, I cannot tell the difference between this bulb and the other two bulbs that are still burning. This tells me that this product is good quality.
