I had the same problem after checkout with my shipment costing me $62, but I contact the seller and they recalculated it for me. I had to pay whole price, but they refunded it to me right away. So total I paid 1.55 for my lanters each and thats the cheapest I can find. The shipment was fast and the Seller would reply fast too. Would totally recommend.

Wanted a paper lantern, got one! Very cheap, shipping was a little silly but overall these usually retail (though with the light) around $19.99. Had to replace an old lantern, got a replacement set (lantern and light) and an extra one for the old one as well. Take care to open the lantern slowly, as if you are too vigorous with it, it will rip. Also, for the people that complain it is too fragile it is TISSUE PAPER wrapped around a frame what do you expect? I ripped my old one (after being open for 5 years) just squishing it down. FYI if you are going to squish it around, spritz water on it (after the light has been removed) so the paper is more malleable. So you know as well, these are very white not off white at all.

I tried to order this product because of the price. Looks like the quality is comparable to products sold in some other sites but at a much lower price, so I decided to get it from amazon. It's not eligible for free shipping 'thou and has to be shippped directly by the seller Just Artifacts. I checked their shipping rates and showed $4.48 per shipment. I ordered 24 pieces but when I went to check out I got the shock of my life...shipping was $59.84 more than doubled the amount of my order. So I cancelled it. Please don't be fooled by the low price.

The metal inserts to give the paper lanterns shape are of poor quality. The metal "C" to wrap light cord around breaks off easily and often not centered so the light cord doesn't even fit around it. Also it is too flimsy / bendy to hold the paper taut.

Slightly shady: shipped my items back to return and only got my refund over a week after they received my package. Only got my money back when I called and asked why I hadn't been refunded yet. Warning: if you return your items, be sure to track your package!

Ordered two of these lanterns. They are made out of that cheap tissue paper you get inside gift boxes. BOTH arrived with rips and tears. They were shipped in a plastic bag, that had been bent along the way, NOT the appropriate way to ship something that tears so easily! One of the metal expanders broke completely when I tried to hang it. These are cheap paper lanterns that you could buy at the dollar store. Don't waste your money.
