This is a very versatile LED light that has many applications in your home. It features automatic on and off with a motion sensor and it will only come on in the dark when set in that mode. The light has a sensor that uses (PIR) Passive Infrared detection and it can come on when sensing motion and/or heat. You can set the on switch to allow the LEDs to stay on for 30 or 60 seconds. The light uses three AA batteries and it does not come with batteries. It is recommended that you use alkaline batteries. You can also set the light to the off mode and turn it on continuously as an emergency flashlight by pressing the on button.
The light is stylish and attractive and it can easily mount using a mounting plate and screws or an adhesive pad. It is ideal for a light for a dark hallway, stairs, and steps, as a bedroom nightlight, closets, bathrooms, garages, attics and basements. The light comes with the adhesive mounting pad, the plastic mounting disk, two screws and the instruction manual. (Please see my video)
The light installs easily without any wiring or a lot of work. The sensor sees motion in a 180 degree angle (Virtually up and down a hallway) up to 15 to 16.4 feet away. The light is bright enough to be of use and it would be ideal for a children's bedroom for a night light that will come on when they get up. It improves safety and it helps provide a sense of security. The light has a crescent shaped frosted plastic lens that nicely takes the glare off of the LEDs and more evenly spreads the white LED light.
The light weighs 2 3/8 ounces without the batteries and 5 1/8 ounces with the batteries installed. It is 3 ½ inches in diameter and 1 ¼ inches thick. If you use the hanging disk that comes with the light you can easily lift it off of the small mounting nub and use it as an emergency flashlight. The LEDs have an on time lifetime of 10,000 hours and they are energy efficient. One set of batteries can last for 2,400 on and off cycles.
This is fast and easy to install and use and it is priced reasonably. It has a lot of applications and I rate it as a 5 star item.
I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review.

The light is brighter than expected, so I'm trying to decide where the placement should be so as not to hit me in the eyes. I'm actually glad it's bright and will work out the placement. Turns on immediately with remote sensing in the staircase.Best Deals for Hipo By Ivation 6 LED Automatic Motion-sensing Night Light
I bought these for every room to ensure that I find my way to a flashlight during a power outage at night. They are attractive and easy to use. Don't know yet how long the batteries last. I love the way the cats turn them on when I get up at night.Honest reviews on Hipo By Ivation 6 LED Automatic Motion-sensing Night Light
Lights up our stairwell perfectly. It's small, but does the job. Wish it had sticky tape to hang though. RecommendFind helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Hipo By Ivation 6 LED Automatic Motion-sensing Night Light
Do you have a spot in your home, vehicle or anywhere else where you'd like a motion sensitive light, but don't have a handy outlet or wiring in place for it? The Hipe 6 LED Automatic Motion-sensing Night Light could be just what you need. The Hipe light uses 3 AA batteries (not included) and under normal usage I would expect them to last for at least a few month before needing replacing. I also have the B00CRJSIH4 and it uses 4 AAAs. Where the latter light has more versatility when it comes to mounting and settings, this light SHINES (sorry) with an overall brighter light and front facing controls. A bit larger than a hockey puck, you can either mount it to use as a night light or motion sensitive light, or you can carry it as a flashlight because of the easy access to the simple on/off button.
I also like the fact that the LEDs span about 70% of the rim of this device, giving the user a spot to hold it without blocking any of the light. As the product images above show, there is a motion sensor (not adjustable) at the top, a slider to set the motion detector light duration to either OFF, 30 or 60 seconds, and a power button for immediate response. The sensor is quite sensitive and can detect motion up to 15 feet away. When put in motion detection mode, it only comes on when it is dark.
I'm keeping mine mounted to the wall by the door into my garage. I could use the regular lights, but in the case of a power outage, it is good to have a light source there and also the handy option to detach and use it as a flashlight. I'm considering getting another one for the hall outside my kid's bathroom.
I receive a sample unit from the company for review purposes.
