I use this drop-in with my Surefire 6Z. (For the 6Z and probably others you'll want to leave out the big spring.) It produces more light than the original bulb, stays brighter longer, doesn't get hot after a few minutes, and won't burn out any time soon.

This replacement is a no-brainer, especially if you are replacing a burnt out "original" bulb, as it will pay for itself in a very short while.

BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews can take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've received from other reviewers and work hard to return the favor as best as I can. I ordered this item for my Surefire G2. When I received it I took off the large spring and placed it into the flashlight with amazing results. Without replacing the tailcap I was able to get all three brightness settings, the strobe setting and the SOS setting.

10 times better (or more) than the original bulb that came in my Surefire; not to mention that the batteries do, in fact, last longer with this bulb. If you don't have one of these, you're "in the dark!"

I bought this led bulb replacement for my surefire G2 nitrolon (65 lumen), which I have had for about 8 years. Although it does not shine brighter than my 6p led 120 lumen flashlight, (this claims 250+ lumens), this is by no means a weak led. The three light settings, including STROBE, was something that I didn't expect. The led replacement worked flawlessly mereley by changing the bulb assembly. Well worth the money.

Even though it says it supports flash and SOS, it won't in my 6p light. Oh well, it is still 2x brighter, is more drop resistant, and dramatically extends battery life.
