Nice warm light with good output. It is hard to find a good CFL or LED G40 bulb. This fits the bill perfectly.

I wasn't sure what to expect--generally don't like CFL's. This light is on often and for long periods over our kitchen table so I decided to give it a try. I am very happy with the effect--bulb does take 30 seconds to brighten-up fully which takes a little getting used to, but the color is a nice "soft" white and plenty bright and consistent. There is no glare or hot spot because the CFL filament is inside the globe itself. So far happy--it should last a long time--considering it cost 3X an incandescent, it better.

These bulbs are used in the exterior fixtures adjacent to the garage doors.

They haven't been replaced, since installed over 2 years ago.
