this is really bright. waterproof. floats.
1st click = solar power
2nd click = backup batteries (uses 3 or 4 depending how bright u want)
solar & backup are same brightness
also works with backup removed
it has a string to hang it up
The only thing is this is a little too big & heavy for backpacking but if its bear or mountain lion wilderness I might still bring it because its bright. For caving I want the crank/solar combo.
the lifetime warranty doesn't cover the rechargeable battery so i'll see how long it lasts
if you're not 2 lazy copy the name into google images to get link to youtube comment reviews

i made it simpler. by taking out backup batteries its now
1ST CLICK = ON, 2ND CLICK = OFF

UPDATE: since december 2011-april 2012 the internal battery isn't holding a charge that long. details later
u can still get a pack of 3 watch batteries for 1 dollar

We were going to go camping and I wanted a flashlight that we wouldn't need to carry extra batteries around for. So I got this and left it in the window for a few days and on saturday night i needed to...... "do some business" in the middle of the night and this thing REALLY lit my way. You can deffinatley tell it is 120 lumens it out did my dads 2d battery powered maglight. I love Love LOVE it totally worth the 25 dollars. It is water proof up to 80 feet.
Has 3 not 2 back up button cell batteries.
It can also charge low light I went for a walk it was thick overcast raining and 7:30 just barley had enough light to make it back to the camp site and it was still charging the whole time.
In other words if you need a totally reliable really bright flashlight and dont want to carry around extra batteries this is the best way to go and is worth the investment.
UPDATE: During the 110 degrees summer heat I left it in the window and made the mistake of pushing the rubber switch. It cracked, I am a little concerned about the waterproof-ness of the now so I just put a piece of duck tape over the button.
So just remember after it gets hot do not use it until it has cooled down a bit.

I've been very pleased with this flashlight-it's surprisingly bright, the solar charge can be used for hours at a time, and it seems to be pretty durable.A few notes:
--Sunlight seems to charge it more efficiently than artificial lighting, so I keep it by a window.
--If you buy it, make sure you know what the different colored lights signify (red for charging, orange for solar, green for battery).
--The smaller version is good, but it's not nearly as bright as this one (though still a great flashlight).
