I am extremely pleased with this flashlight. It is extremely bright and comes with five modes which are very useful, you do not have to hold the button down but only click it to change modes. I was looking for something small, portable and bright, something I can carry in my pocket without it being cumbersome and this flashlight is it. At first I was very hesitant to buy a product that's advertised as 1000 lumens for the price because I have seen that the brighter a flashlight is, the more a flashlight costs but not in this case. The only example I can compare it to, is with my Surefire flashlight.
My Surefire flashlight (6P LED) cost me $90.00 and yet this $11.95 Ultrafire 1000 lumens is way brighter and has more modes installed. I know that my Surefire is on the low end and there are other options available but there's still a major price difference. I am just saying that for the size and price I am very happy with this Ultrafire. The construction is a lighter density metal compared to the thicker metal casing of the surefire, which makes it lighter. When side by side ,this is a noticeable difference between the Surefire and Ultrafire. Construction could be better on the Ultrafire but I was not looking for a metal casing flashlight but a flashlight that would compare or exceed the brightness of the $200.00 Surefire.
There is also a difference in the way the light is sent out. When turned on, my surefire flashlight is a narrow beam just to illuminate part of a room or where one is pointing the flashlight and in the Ultrafire it is wider and brighter to illuminate the entire room which I think is more beneficial when entering a dark room. I can only say that this $11.95 flashlight exceeded my expectations. I am not by any means an expert in flashlights but I feel like I got a good deal. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I now own two different Ultrafire lights. They are cheap, feel solid and claim outrageous lumens. However for the price, they are very good.
My reference light is a Fenix TK-41 with 800 Lumens. I love it but it needs 8AA batteries to operate and does not keep full power very long.
I then went down (or up, depending) to a Trustfire TR-3T6 claiming 3800 Lumens which is an absolute lie. Yet, for the price, I would say it is about as bright as the Fenix with only two 1850 batteries and much much cheaper.
Down again is the Ultrafire 1000 Lumens (yes.... riiight!) which only needs one 1850 battery to operate. It is about 1/2 the size of the trustfire and maybe a third of the price.
It does not provide 1000 Lumens but it is bright. Not as bright as the two other ones but maybe between 300 to 500 Lumens.
All I can say is that my reaction was still "Wow!!!" when I tried it.
It has multiple modes, 3 levels of dimming, one stroboscope and one SOS mode. All at a simple pressure at the end of the light.
I had a few instances where the mode changed apparently by itself but nothing I would cry about.
Out of all the good flashlights I own, I would say this one is the easiest to carry around, very cheap and still powerful enough to light up whatever is necessary.
Only thing I am on the fence about it the use of 1850 batteries. Granted, one only is good, easy to carry etc... but it is also non-standard yet. I have never seen this type of battery outside of the USA. The power of the light indeed comes from the 3000mAh of the battery. I bought this flashlight's lower model (the ultrafire 300 Lumens) which works with one AA battery and it is crap in comparison.
What to like:
light
Powerful and nice light
Cheap
one 1850 battery only
What not to like:
Controls may be flimsy at times
No easy way to handle other than in hand (no clip, just a lanyard)
Outrageous lumens claims (may be half or less than claimed)
Conclusion:
A winner for me!
