I bought this to use on my garage. I also bought a Master Magnetics 07217 Magnet Round Base 25#pull. I used the Master magnet to mount to the base of the motion light. It worked with the factory central hole and screw. I fastened on the magnet and stuck the light to my steel garage wall without having to drill my wall. I can reposition the light as needed anywhere on the garage.
I found the light to be very sensitive to motion and the range probably exceeds specifications. The LEDs could have been brighter for my purposes, but they are enough to do the job. Be advised, this is activated by motion day or night. But it only stays on for about 15 seconds after the motion ceases.
The motion light is stuck to my steel wall near my door locks. When I approach the garage, I have extra light to help locate and operate my locks.
