I was confused when I read others say that this light bulb "did not work in most of [their] fixtures", but now I see why. There is a small plastic shelf that keeps it from screwing in all the way which I had to trim down with my Dremel tool to get the electrical contacts to seat.

Once on, it seems nice & bright (though it doesn't mix will with warm lights). When dimmed it seems kinda blue/green and greatly out-powers the other bulbs I have in the fixture. Not bad, not great... I'll probably end up replacing it with an incandescent again.

Cons:

-I expected these to be close in hue to the other incandescent 25w bulbs in my candelabra. These are more green.

-They cast circular patterns on the ceiling.

-Even at the lowest setting on my dimmer, these lights are still rather bright, especially next to the incandescent bulbs.

These bulbs would not work in most of my fixtures. They did work in some, but not the primary fixtures where I wished to use them. I was concerned that perhaps the voltage was not up to par due to the wiring in the fixtures, so I thought that since these as "dimmable", that they would work in all my fixtures. I have now purchased about a dozen different LED bulbs for various applications and while these have good light output in one fixture in particular, I gave it two stars. I will be contacting the seller as these can't be returned to Amazon as they are considered to contain "hazardous material". Would not buy these again and would not recommend. I like the bulbs I purchased at Costco much better, even though they are not "dimmable", they are bright and work in most of my fixtures.

Avoid. I didn't find much else on the market, but this isn't the answer.

Pros: Fits and dims. That's about it.

Cons: Too dim. 3w LED is supposed to be around 15w equivalent in incandescent. But this appears as if its...well, 3w's. Ugly on top: LED tech is awful. Uses the yellow 'chips' and are visible. Not as warm as advertised, but a slightly green tint. Although it fits, they took some wiggling around to get to work and I bought several for a hurricane lamp, one never worked. Even in quantity (I got 6 and screwed) is way too dim.

Cheap, cheap, cheap...don't buy.

I don't think the description of the product as a 3000K color temperature was correct. The color of these bulbs is out of whack with other 3000K LED bulbs I have at home.
