10/1/2013: Scratch that, 3 of the 8 died within a year. Another one bit the dust.

2 of the 8 that I purchased died within a year. At an approximate usage pattern of 3 hours (usually less) per day. This is about 1100 hours of life, which is barely 10% of the expected lifespan.

I went to Home depot to purchase a set of replacements for these. They only had the Phillips 26w PL-T for 9.95. This is more than the 6.99 I paid for the Sylvania's BUT...the Philips has a brighter initial lumen and operating lumen. I now have a strange kitchen setup where 2 bulbs look exceptionally more bright and clear than the other 4. I can't vouch for its overall lifespan but if it lasts just a few months longer than 1 year, I'd still continue buying it over the Sylvanias.

Now every time I enter the kitchen, part of me just wishes the other 4 Sylvanias would die so I can junk them for the Philips. Perhaps I should rearrange them so the brighter Philips bulbs are symmetrical to the ceiling.

Nice white light for bathroom, but it takes 60 seconds to worm up and wife just uses the 6 light, light bar instead, grrrrrrrrrrrr.

I purchased this bulb to replace one in my kitchen. Unfortunately this bulb doesn't produce the same color light as the others so now it stands out. It's a good bulb. I just wish I had known it wasn't going to match before hand.

These triple cfl can bulbs are not only hard to find but are very expensive. These bulbs are very high quality (better than the new installation) and are substantially lower cost than at box stores if you can find them. The light is very white. Perfect for office or reading.

the product is good and the vendor is absolutely recommended too. The price and availability was a big motive for me to go for this. I didnt find this product in Lowes or Home Depot or OSH . Out of 4 , 1 piece was defective and they promptly credited me back for that.
