When we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago, we spent a pretty penny from a local lighting showroom on Kichler under counter xenon 12v lighting. In less than a year one of the lights would randomly wink out. Sometimes for days. With some struggle the show room replaced that light. A year later it went out again, and then all but one of the others exhibited the same problem over time.

The problem: the transformers.

This LET-60 is the perfect replacement at a fraction of the cost of a new fixture. All you need to do is remove a few screws to get to the interior of your light. Make note of roughly where the wires are stuffed so you can get it all fitted again, then untuck them all. Slide a knife under the old transformer and pry up to separate it from the double sided tape. Swap it out for the new LET-60 and stick it back down on the tape. Tuck and reassemble. All done for $14!

I have a LightBlast Video Game projector. The light died about a month after use. Tried different bulbs but it wouldn't work. I concluded the problem might be with the Lightblast's transformer. So I thought I'd try to see if I could completely bypass the LightBlast's transformer & light mechanism entirely. I bought the LET-60 12V 60W AC Class 2 Electronic Transformer by Lightech, severed the MR16 halogen light socket on the LightBlast from it's power trasformer & sealed off the leads from that defective transformer to be safe. I then connected the Lightblast's MR16 halogen socket leads to the white DC leads of the LET-60. I drilled a hole in the Lighblast body and ran another electric power cord into the unit and connected it to a switch I also installed on the lightblast body and then connected this to the new LET-60 transformer AC power cords. To my joy, it worked. The light shines as brite as the original lightblast did. I managed to secure the transfomer into the LightBlast in the area where the vent is located, ran the power cords around (needed to drill a couple holes in the lightblast housting to accomodate the AC power cord to the transformer. I love this fix. Even though the halogen light is now separately powered from the Lightblast itself, it works. I just have to make sure I first turn off the light, and then shutdown the Lightblast so that it will still go thru it's shutdown process in other words, to let the fan continue to blow to cool down the light. NEVER RUN THE HALOGEN LIGHT WITHOUT THE LIGHTBLAST FAN RUNNING that will severely shorten the life of the bulb.

I use the Lightblast during the holidays to project seasonal video to be seen from my front window. Now I can leave the DVD Player & the Lightblast run of repeat literally forever, and have the rewired light on a timer, so the unit now can be just left to run without any manual intervention.

I highly recommend this transformer to power upto a 60watt halogen 12v bulb. Great fix for my projector. You could also use this to power up any MR16 Halogen light project so long as the total wattage used is not more than 60W. A great transformer for DIY lighting projects.

Purchased this as a replacement when the low voltage transformer for our undercounter kitchen lights went out. Installed a couple of weeks ago and working fine.

I purchased the LET-60 to allow a track lighting fixture to use 12V LED bulbs. Wiring was simple and build quality is great. I have yet to hear a hum or have the lights blink. They turn on immediately and it doesn't get too warm. I can't think of anything I would change.

A lot smaller than I thought, smaller than a Tic-Tac container. Works just fine with the 3" WAC Lighting fixtures I ordered and fitted with generic 20W halogen MR16 bulbs. Inexpensive; no complaints!
